Hi Supporters,
I would like to thank you all for taking the time to read our Nov/Dec 2013 newsletter. We’ve completed our 6 Part Series of SAT/ACT Test prep to local high school students from Middleton, Blake, and Jefferson High School in Tampa, FL.  Please open G3 Life Applications video link: http://youtu.be/X-vLIxqTqhk  We are currently in the process of providing GED Test Prep to (PACE Center for Girls & Hillsborough High School). There will be ongoing schedule of activities which include field trips, mentoring from community leaders, and workshops. This includes the National Science Teachers Association’s STEM Forum, which will open the eyes of our youth to a wide variety of STEM learning models.

Our vision is to promote SUCCESS “One child at a time”.
GRAY’S SPOTLIGHT feature this month is a student athlete from Middleton High School, Tampa, FL, Javon “Trick” Nelson. (Burgundy shirt below) He is a 3.7 GPA high school senior with goals and aspirations to become a Psychiatrist.  He was selected & attended Washington DC in 2013 as part of an initiative to promote student & parent involvement at Turnaround Schools.  The GRAY’S Project Inc. will follow his progress and provide academic support as he prepares to enter College.  His desire is to attend the University of Miami, Bethune Cookman University or Florida Atlantic University. We strive to make positive influences and deliver promise to under-represented youth throughout Florida. Please Visit: www.graysproject.com

  Employers, Community College Students Still Question Online Degree Credibility Online Education Information - Online Learning Statistics & Education News By Rachel Wang    the UMF/Flickr Traditional degrees still win out over  online degrees —at least in employers’ eyes. A new study titled “ Not Yet Sold: What Employers and Community College Students Think About Online Education ” revealed that employers are still skeptical about online degree quality. The report also revealed that community college students have concerns about online learning. The September 2013 study was released by Public Agenda, a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that focuses on finding solutions for key issues, including higher education, energy issues, healthcare and the national debt.
